The American Dream was shattered with a Bad Ending…

Teen Say Host, Mariann DiMattina-Gonzalez – went to see ” A Star is Born” she was concerned by the upsetting ending. ” I loved the American Dream and Love story but they shattered my heart with that ending. I wanted a happy ending,” Mariann said. She decided to interview Dr. Brad Sachs, a Psychologist in Maryland that was brought in to Fairfax a few years ago to speak about teen suicide issues in the High Schools. She wanted to know if portraying suicide in movies could set an acceptable norm for teens and parents. Mariann wanted to know what CSB of Fairfax, Va. thought of “A Star is Born.” She asked CSB Clinicians what they thought of the movie portraying rehab didn’t work, substance abuse and the American Dream being shattered by suicide. Adults, teens and college students were asked what they thought of the movie’s ending at University Theatre and Don Tito in Arlington, Va.  What did you think?
